Your 30 seconds of fame

Who are the people of NASA Langley?

A video contest has been launched to help the Center learn more about itself from all segments of the workforce: civil service, non-civil service, and students. This is your chance to tell everyone on Center why your job is important and why you love it.

The Challenge: make a 30-second video to explain what you do and why you love your job.Rules:

No professional equipment required. You may use digital cameras, cell phone cameras, an old DV recorder, anything that will make a video file that can be uploaded to our web site.

You can sing, dance, act, mime, narrate, use background music or not, use slides and still shots, enhance with graphics software, iMovie — whatever you feel gets the point across in 30 seconds.

A time limit of 30 seconds will be enforced.

Please keep it clean … nothing inappropriate for the workplace.

Who Can Enter:

All Langley employees, civil servant or non civil servant, including students working on Center, may enter, as long as they have a valid @nasa.gov email address.

How to Enter: http://larc.cet.edu

Dates:

All entries are due no later than Jan. 30, 2009.

Voting will open Feb. 1 and continue through Feb. 13.

Winners will be announced the week of Feb. 16.

Prizes:

Non-monetary First, second, and third places, plus honorable mentions will be awarded for three workforce groups: civil service, non-civil service, student.

Winners will be determined by popular vote through a secure online voting process open to all Langley employees. Voters need to register for access to the site and a nasa.gov email is required for access.
